Fostering an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are valued and supported.
Taekwondo Council United Kingdom (TCUK) is committed to creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment where individuals of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are valued, respected and supported.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in Taekwon-Do, whether through recreational training, personal development, gradings or competition.
We work with our affiliated organisations, clubs and instructors to promote equality, remove barriers to participation and support individuals with disabilities and additional needs.
Inclusion works closely with safeguarding to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of all participants. Visit our Safeguarding Page
Our Inclusion Team provides guidance and support to members, instructors, clubs and participants.

TCUK has established policies to support inclusive participation, equality and fair treatment throughout the Taekwon-Do community.
These policies provide guidance for members, instructors, officials and affiliated organisations.
Our commitment to equality, diversity, accessibility and inclusive participation.

We offer free Inclusion Workshops, open to all and available nationwide. A voluntary donation of £15 is recommended to help sustain these initiatives.
We encourage instructors and officials to attend an initial in-person workshop, followed by refresher training every three years.
For upcoming workshops, visit our Events Page.
All TCUK instructor memberships include membership of the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA).
Through BMABA, instructors can access additional training and professional development resources, including opportunities relating to inclusion, disability awareness and supporting participants with additional needs.
We encourage instructors to make use of these resources to further develop their knowledge and inclusive coaching practices.
Clubs and affiliated organisations interested in arranging an in-house Inclusion Workshop can access support, funding and resources through TCUK.

TCUK continues to work towards making Taekwon-Do accessible, welcoming and supportive for everyone.
We are committed to promoting respect, equality and opportunities for all participants to develop and achieve their potential.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to belong, participate and progress in Taekwon-Do.
I joined the ITC originally in 2019 and have had the pleasure of watching it grow into what is now the TCUK. I have had nothing but support and encouragement. At a time where I was learning how to be a completely new and independent association, TCUK offered me a massive life line, especially for policies and ensuring I had all the paperwork necessary in place. They are easy to contact and talk to about any issues or problems and always go the extra mile.
I am very proud to say I am a member of the TCUK and recognise them as our NGB.
